Pulmonologist – Somnologist
TRAKADA GEORGIA
Trakada Georgia is a Pulmonologist and certified Somnologist who is currently working at the “Alexandra” Hospital of Athens, in the Department of Clinical Therapeutics. She obtained her Diploma in Medicine in 1991 from the School of Medicine of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, her PhD in 2003 (http://hdl.handle.net/10889/350) and her MSc in 2010 (https://apothesis.eap.gr/handle/repo/17742).
She worked in the departments of Unité des Troubles du Sommeil et de l¢ Eveil, Hôpital GUI DE CHAULIAC, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire (CHU), Montpellier, France and in Sleep Research and Treatment Center, The Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and College of Medicine, Penn State University, USA, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow. In 2014 became an Expert Somnologist in Sleep Medicine (http://www.esrs.eu/education-career/esrs-examination-in-sleep-medicine/certified-expert-somnologists-2014.html), and in 2019 became a Specialized Doctor of Sleep Medicine in Greece. She is member of the European Sleep Research Society and the European Respiratory Society.
